About Marcus Webb
Marcus started as a self-taught guitarist who got tired of paying high prices for basic string changes and setups, and decided to learn the craft himself. What began as a way to save money became a full career — first working in a local guitar shop, then eventually building a reputation among touring bands and session musicians who needed reliable, fast string work before shows and studio sessions.
Over the past 15 years, he has:
- Restrung and set up thousands of guitars across every major string type and brand
- Worked directly with touring musicians who depend on consistent string performance night after night
- Built relationships with several recording studios as their go-to tech for string-related issues
- Tested virtually every major string brand and gauge combination across electric, acoustic, and classical guitars
